6:00 PM NWSA Annual Membership and Registration
7:00 PM Cocktail Reception (In the Willamette Room)
Our special guest Paul T. Haefner, Ph.D., will be joining us for the reception. Dr. Haefner, is a Licensed Clinical & Sports Psychologist, who will focus his sessions on how to enhance our performance and build our confidence in the ring. Currently he is residing in Northern Virginia. We are so honored to have him join us! A selection of hors d’oeuvres will be served and a no-host cash bar will be available.
8:30 AM NWSA Youth Breakfast & Meeting
All NWSA Youth are invited to attend this annual event. Dr. Haefner is excited to meet with our Youth members in an informal setting so that he can discuss strategies to help them to have their best rides! The breakfast meeting will be hosted by the Youth Group for the NWSA youth members, for non-members the cost will be fifteen dollars for breakfast.
8:30 AM Futurity Meeting
Everyone is welcome to attend! Topics will include election of officers, results of the Open and Amateur Futurities, a Treasurer’s Report, 2018 fundraising activities recap, and plans for 2019.
10:00 AM Annual Membership Meeting (In the Plaza Ballroom)
During the Annual meeting, the NWSA members will receive reports on Membership, NWSA Open and Amateur Futurities, the Fall Classic Horse Show, Silver Circuit, Youth Activities, a Treasurer’s Report, the Association’s website and an update on the national ASHA Charter Club Council. Election of our new Board members will be held.
12:00 PM Luncheon with Special Guest Paul T. Haefner, Ph.D. (In the Plaza Ballroom)
You’re invited to come listen to our inspiring special guest Dr. Paul Haefner as we enjoy lunch with friends both old and new. Dr. Haefner will share strategies on how we can harness our mind and experiences to optimize our rides! Dr. Haefner has over 30 years of experience coaching equestrian athletes. In 2001, he founded Riding Far, LLC to provide a wide range of sport psychology consultation services to riders, instructors and trainers. His goal is to raise riders’ awareness of the importance of mental and emotional skills in equestrian sport and to help equestrians of all ages, skill levels, and disciplines achieve their personal riding goals.
5:30 PM Social Hour, Silent & Live Auction Preview (In the Plaza Ballroom)
Get ready to enjoy a night of great food, fun and surprises! Be sure to stop at the no-host bar while you visit with friends and preview the exciting live auction items on display as well as the silent auction items. Credit cards will be accepted to assist with your auction purchases. Reminder: NWSA is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
6:30 PM NWSA Banquet and Awards Presentation (In the Plaza Ballroom)
Our delicious plated dinner features a choice of entrees: Alaskan Salmon pan seared, with a lemon caper sauce or Filet Mignon an 8oz tenderloin charbroiled with a bourbon mushroom demi-glace as well as a Vegetarian option. All entrees include mixed green salad, seasonal vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, Portland French Bakery rolls and much more!
