Welcome to the Northwest Saddlebred Association Website!
|
In 1960, a small group of Saddlebred enthusiasts founded the Northwest Saddlebred Association (NWSA) to provide a forum to support and expand enjoyment of the breed here in the Pacific Northwest. The NWSA is recognized as a Charter Club Member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association. The American Saddlebred Horse Association’s worldwide network of more than 50 Charter Clubs enriches the Saddlebred experience for members. Clubs promote Saddlebreds at the local level and help newcomers to learn more about the breed, as well as offering many equine and social activities for their members’ education and enjoyment. Typical activities for Charter Clubs include putting on horse shows, riding in parades, participating in horse fairs, presenting annual awards, trail rides and other popular pastimes. Be sure to visit the ASHA Charter Clubs webpage to learn more about the benefits and resources available to members. The Silver Circuit Awards program is a program set into place to give recognition to our NWSA members for their participation and support of our Northwest Horse Shows. Our awards are designed to acknowledge individual effort and achievement, and include year-end High Point and Reserve High Point Awards for amateur and juvenile riders. This rider/member may compete for these respective high point awards by signing and returning the Silver Circuit entry form by May 1st of the current year. The high point winners are still eligible for all other division trophies.
